Accessibility

Accessibility Statement

I want to make this website as accessible as possible.

I hope eventually that it will approach best practice, and I believe I have made a good start on that process, for example by minimizing the use of graphics and photos, and providing descriptions of those images I do use.

How to get the most accessible experience from this site

You can toggle the buttons in the Access section to increase text size or set the page to high contrast view. The Access section is in the sidebar which shows on the right side on desktop, and below the content on tablet or mobile.

Once set, these settings are applied to other pages, as well as remembered for future visits.

There are also lots of ways that you can make browsing this and other sites more accessible on the BBC’s excellent My Web My Way pages (developed with the disability charity AbilityNet).

Accessibility guidelines

This website has been developed to conform with level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0.

Accessibility limitations

There will always be areas for improvement I haven’t spotted, or possibly don’t yet have the budget to add.

For example, I cannot guarantee that PDF files linked to on the site have been created in an accessible way.

Contacting us

If you have any concerns about the accessibility of this website, do please email me at [email protected] or call 07776 206595 (9am to 7pm, weekdays only please).
